“I have been with the west virginia branch of this system for 30 years, 100% is not for tournament fighting, mma or otherwise. They do not teach children the techniques behind the forms because what responsible school teaches a child to snap another child's arm. Once you hit black belt or are a life time student things change, fu jow pai or black tiger claw from the southern hakka clan fighting system, and other temple style southern shaolin is what this school is based on, black tiger is some of the nastiest martial arts moves created in shaolin's history. Almost every thing at Adult level shaolin do teaches is illegal in sports. The people are great and with any martial art you get out of it how hard you train. If you go ooh you drink the cool sid reading this, i also trained in shorin te, bujinkan, muay thai, was an infantry 11b. It a good school it has 2 layers, the inside layers is where the old techniques are.“
