I had a bone spur in my left achilles. The Soundwave therapy has helped so much that we are now treating the other leg with the same therapy.

I am retired nurse and have been coming to Dr Wheeler for the past couple of months because of bursitis in my left hip. I had issues sleeping, walking and particularly going up steps/ hills. He used shock wave therapy and I am now almost 100% recovered. I highly recommend him for anyone having physical issues.

Came in for Shockwave Therapy in December 2025 for a long standing hip injury that was not healing after years of other therapies. I learned of Dr Wheeler after seeing a Facebook ad.
I decided to become a patient of Westport Chiropractic after Dr Wheeler discussed his plan using a combination of softwave treatments with traction to help my knees and home exercises.

Unfortunately, my knees where not my only issue to be able to walk pain-free. About 6 years ago I discovered I had a bone spur on my right heel. For those 1st 2 years I had not been able to tolerate pressure on that heel. I had to wear a specific style of open sandal, even in the snow!! During those years I did PT and I also went to a different Chiropractor that used a percussive instrument to break-up the bone spur - an extremely painful experience that did not help. During those treatments I had slight improvement where I could finally wear only certain tennis shoes. This was followed but 2 years of improved, but continued pain. I did find a different Chiropractor that used softwave, but did not combine with the traction and exercises which limited the results.

I believe the combination of treatments Dr Wheeler uses addresses not only the symptoms but also the cause. You are also responsible for your care. Make sure you do any exercises he suggests. They don't take up much time and make a big difference toward improvement.

I started treatment near the end of 2025 After several weeks of softwave treatment on my heel, I have no noticeable pain !!! This allows me to stand more upright allowing Dr Wheeler's softwave treatment to do its job for my knees too. (Knees with traction and heel were all treated in each visit.) My knees do still get stiff with transitioning from sitting to standing, taking a moment, then I am able to walk all I want with virtually no pain. I'm also learning to re-trust my knees and heel on stairs.

I went for my knee pain, but I am so happy Dr Wheeler was wise enough to include my heel in his treatment plan.

Hello my name is Sandy Hagan. I have seen Dr Wheeler at Westport chiropractic 2 and 1/2 months and I went in with pain knee and was told from my orthopedic surgeon I needed a knee replacement. I have been fighting that for 3 years not to have that done well when I read his article on my phone about what he has to do to your knee, what his options are were or what my options were okay again we did what he said and now I can walk. I can walk my dog. I can walk through the grass. I can walk on uneven grass. I have done a 360. He is great and if he tells you he can help he can help and if he It is spacing it there. You go okay just go back down here can't help you, he will tell you. I had a wonderful experience with him working on my knee. I thank God for him everyday and now I'm back up to walking. Thank you Dr. Wheeler and I'm so glad I did not have to have surgery...
