Spent six months in severe pain with sciatica. Simply walking elicited excruciating pain from my glut to my ankle. Had to try PT and then 2 epidural steroid injections. Neither of these worked. Finally referred to Dr. Crawford who pinpointed the problem on my MRI. A spinal cyst was pressing on my sciatic nerve. Dr. Crawford removed the cyst and I am now pain-free. I thanked him for giving me my life back. I’m back swimming laps at the Y and doing my usual household chores. If only an MRI had been ordered with the onset of the sciatica, I would have suffered less and regained my life do much sooner.

I was seen by a member of the Norton Leatherman Spine Team and was very pleased. My concerns were taken seriously, I was given information that was very helpful, and I was referred for physical therapy. I highly recommend this medical group.

Before having spinal surgery I was mostly confined to a chair. I could only walk a short distance. I couldn’t stand very long without having to sit down and rest. Shopping was out of the question. On December 15, 2022, I had one of 2 spine surgeries with Dr Gum, and it’s been life changing. I highly recommend Dr Gum!
