I am a little late posting this! Unfortunately my home suffered from storm damage due to the Florence, KY tornado back on June 18th. Our entire electrical panel was ripped off the side of our house and the damage was way more than we anticipated! Luckily Mister Sparky sent Tim out to handle the situation! He was very knowledgeable, answered all our questions and didn't leave till the job was done! We ran into some issues with getting the power reconnected same day so Tim offered to buy us dinner and get us a hotel so we weren't stuck in the dark, we declined but the gesture was beyond appreciated!

I rarely leave reviews, but this experience was extremely disappointing.

I scheduled a dishwasher service online and was charged $332 for what was supposed to be a diagnostic visit. The technician spent about 5 minutes checking outlets, pulled the dishwasher out, and told me it was simply “unplugged.” No actual testing or diagnostics were performed. I specifically asked if anything else was wrong and was assured it was fine.

The very next morning, the dishwasher still did not work. After struggling to reach someone over the weekend, I finally spoke with a manager on Monday. He came out, looked at it briefly, and then told me the dishwasher was “done” and needed to be replaced. When I asked why the first technician didn’t catch this, I was told he likely assumed it worked because it turned on.

So I was charged $332 for someone to plug in my dishwasher without verifying if it actually worked. To add to the frustration, I was told a small wire fix on my porch light was “complimentary” since the visit was so simple—which only highlights how little was actually done.

There was no clear mention of a diagnostic fee on the website, only a “$59 travel fee”, booking and it’s said that if the work is agreed upon that amount is deducted from the total. Nonetheless, I was not charged this fee for “travel or diagnostics” during a previous service in January for another job.
Bottomline, I expected professionalism and transparency, but instead received minimal effort and poor service.

I would strongly recommend others ask detailed questions about fees and what diagnostics actually include before booking… If you can avoid using them.. Please do!.

Tim did a great job on our project. He was very knowledgeable and professional.

No show, made a appointment yesterday for today between 8am to 12 at 1130 I called and I was told the technician went to church and can we change the time to 12 to 4 and still no one showed up.

My entire house was without power and needed a full breaker and meter replacement. John from Mister Sparky of Louisville came out to my house quickly and went above and beyond to make sure my power was back on as soon as possible. He was able to accurately diagnose and fix the issue in a timely fashion. He was also incredibly nice throughout the process. I highly recommend him to anyone with electric problems and I will definitely be using them for any future issues.

In a time when service is absent from most businesses, Mister Sparky is getting it right. No company can get every job 100% perfect, but you have to appreciate and trust the ones who want to be 100% perfect, and will work with the customer to get it perfect. That's the bedrock of a great company.

John Burke came today to replace some breakers. He was very professional, informative and took care of our electrical issue. We will definitely use him again!
