Literally had the best experience at House of Colour!! I got a mani and pedi, and I’m obsessed with how they turned out.
Van did my pedicure, and she was AMAZING. She was so detailed and got every single little cuticle on my toes. She took her time (my pedicure was about 45 minutes), and you could tell she actually cared about making everything look perfect instead of rushing.
Everyone there was also so sweet and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better.
My manicure turned out so cute too! The shape is perfect, the color is exactly what I wanted, and my nails look so clean and pretty. I seriously can’t stop looking at them.
I would 1000% recommend House of Colour if you’re looking for cute nails and really good service. I’ll definitely be coming back! 💗

They do great work but every time I go, it’s 10-15 min wait passed my appointment time. I don’t know what the point of making an appointment is if I have to wait an extra 15 mins every time I’d just walk in and wait..

This was my first visit to HOC after being referred by a long-time customer. The salon itself is cute, and the staff was welcoming, so I was looking forward to the experience. Unfortunately, my experience with Nu was very different from what I expected. While her work may be appreciated by others, I found her customer service lacking. She frequently used inappropriate language and didn't seem to recognize when I wasn't engaging in those conversations. She also appeared annoyed when I asked for design ideas or color suggestions, which made the appointment feel uncomfortable rather than collaborative. I was especially put off by jokes about not being able to come back to the U.S., which I felt were inappropriate for a professional setting. Overall, I would have appreciated a more professional, client focused experience.

House of color has never done me wrong since I’ve started seeing them! I started out seeing Jennifer snd now I see Haley and Helen and I can honestly say my time with Helen is full joy and I throughly enjoy my time with them no matter what’s going on i always feel so comfortable with Helen I adore her artistic detail and her honesty and anytime I see Haley we talk like sisters and honestly Helen too! I love them both so much! When you find good quality service providers that do right by you and what you’re wanting it’s important to cling to them and cling I shall!!! Nobody else will ever touch my nails and here’s proof down below!!! This set is GORGEOUS and Helen free handed this new flower design she hadn’t done yet before and as you can see… SHE ATE DOWN!!! 10/10 😻😻😻

Nu is the best and most inclusive nail tech in the city! She is very detail oriented and will help guide you through your appointment if you are unsure of design, shape, color, etc. She is very dedicated and one of the hardest working people I know. Everyone at HOC is great and there’s a reason they have so many regulars (including myself) for years on end.

I’m only giving House of Colour 2 stars because I was really disappointed by Nu’s professionalism and how a situation was handled. I’ve been coming here for about five years and usually rotated between Cynthia and Nu depending on the style I wanted. For short square nails, I often booked with Nu because I liked the way she shaped my nails. Yesterday, I called to confirm my appointment time and was surprised to find out that after my last visit, Nu no longer wanted to service me because she allegedly felt “uncomfortable.” That honestly caught me off guard because there was never any negative interaction between us. Even after speaking with the owner, there didn’t seem to be a clear explanation as to what happened. I also want to make it clear that I’ve never had a bad experience at this salon overall. The only times I ever came back between appointments were when my nails lifted or cracked after Nu did them. It was never a huge issue to me, someone fixed them, and I moved on. What makes this more confusing is that during my last appointment, which I remember clearly because it was for my birthday, I spent most of the time on the phone. The only real conversation we had was about the thin line french design and base color I wanted. There was very little interaction otherwise. If the issue was that she didn’t like doing certain styles or felt I was too particular about my nails, I would have respected direct communication much more than a vague explanation with no context. As a paying customer, I don’t think being specific about my nails is unreasonable. I do appreciate Haley for stepping in and accommodating me and Ahn for doing my nails but overall I think this situation could have been handled with much more professionalism, clarity, and transparency on Nu’s behalf instead of creating unnecessary confusion. At this point, maybe this is the sign I needed to try someone else anyway because my last dip set didn’t hold up well. The dip on my right hand started lifting terribly after only two weeks.

I absolutely LOVE my nails. Mindy was such a great technician. I called before my appointment to let them know I was getting my nails re done since the other nail salon didn’t meet the vision of the picture I showed them, but HOC made it their mission to give me nails I was more than pleased with.

On Wednesday (5/13/26) I got gel x and a pedicure done. The pedicure was kinda rough and it hurt a few times. The woman apologized, but not a fan. However, the nails initially made up for it. They nailed the design I wanted for a festival I was going to on Friday and I left very happy with it! That Friday (5/15/26) my pinky nail popped off by simply grabbing my phone. I was upset, but able to glue it back on with some nail glue that my friend luckily had. Then on Saturday (5/16/26) TWO more nails popped off without me realizing so it was lost somewhere. I was so happy with the design but extremely disappointed how they didn’t even last me the whole weekend. I’ve never had gelx nails pop off like this ESPECIALLY within DAYS of getting it done. I don’t recommend getting gelx with them, but beautiful nail art so that’s why they get the two stars.

Worst mani pedi experience of my life. Google says they close at 7:30, our appointment was 6:30pm. We got there about 5 mins before the appointment time and had 2 missed called from them. We were then rushed to a chair where someone started working on our hands and feet at the same time. The person doing my nails had my hands propped up on her knees. It was shortly after 7, and they had us out of the chair sitting to the side drying, they had us pay and the employees were already leaving. There were multiple people still getting manicures done however. If they closed at 7, they should have made that clear at some point during booking or at the start of the session. It was the least relaxing experience I have ever had at a salon. Everything was rushed and it was not worth the money
