Despite still listing it on their website, they no longer do pet cremations. I’d called in August, and was told come in before 4 any day. My chihuahua got better for a while, but I had to have him put to sleep Oct. 2. I called on my way there, was told nothing; first person I spoke with said go around, she’d send someone out; then a man told me they stopped doing pet cremation two weeks before. He kept asking me questions like if I answered right, they’d do it (nope). He then sent me to a place that charged twice as much (“I’ll call and tell them to take good care of you” — yeah right). I had been a repeat customer with both family and pets, but I won’t be coming back.

Had to unfortunately have my kitten cremated after somebody had ran over him with their car. The guy who I dropped him off with was compassionate and made the process easy as it could be. The prices are very reasonable. The box/urn i got with my fur babies ashes was very nice , including the nose print and paw prints . It only took a couple days to get my little dash back. I would recommend this place to anyone needing a pet cremated due to their compassionate employees, decent prices and quick turn around.

My mother passed away suddenly and my family was totally devastated. I want to give a heartfelt thank you to Bob Wagner and his precious wife for helping my family through this heartbreaking time. Bob gave us valuable information to make difficult decisions at time when we needed guidance. Also his dear wife lead us to and provided the most beautiful “hummingbird urn” for our mother’s ashes. This urn was heaven sent because my mother had said she wanted something with a hummingbird long ago and the one she wanted was no longer available, but Bob’s precious wife had the perfect one for her. The arrangements and memorial service were all taken care of wonderfully without much needed from us. Thank you again to Bob and his beautiful wife and staff at Highland for helping us through this heartbreaking loss.

We recently had a visitation at Highlands Funeral Home, for my husband, Mark. We had him cremated in Louisiana, and brought his ashes to Louisville.
It was a very simple service. Laura Wagner helped me arrange the service and pay for everything, long distance via the phone. She was very sweet and respectful of my wishes. Highly recommend Highlands Funeral Home.

My sister lost her 2 dogs and 1 of her cats in a house fire. Highlands funeral home was so sweet in making sure her fur babies were taken care of. They offer free nose prints, paw prints, & fur clipping free of charge, which we were unaware of so we didn’t ask. They were able to get all 3 from her kitty & paw prints from her puppies so she has something to cherish from them. We are so grateful!

Highlands Funeral Home was absolutely wonderful in handling the services for my step-dad. Laura was kind & compassionate through every part of this process, and I really am so thankful for her & Bobby. We never had to worry about a single detail not being handled. They even have a Children’s Lounge in their facility which made the day of the visitation easier for my family. If you are looking for a truly compassionate funeral home, please choose Highlands.

I cannot put into words how thankful I am for Kyle and the Highlands staff. No passing is easy to deal with or process, I lost my daughter Zoey on her birthday at 6 years old. When trying to celebrate her life and the impact she had on us and our loved ones my father contacted Highlands and spoke with Kyle.

He went over and beyond to celebrate my Zoeys life. Kyles hard work and dedication allow my wife and I to grieve our daughter as he took care of everything from the showing to setting things up at Calvary Cemetery.

I’m forever indebted to Kyle and Highlands for what they did for my family. I will definitely be back to preplan both my wife’s and I ceremonies as well as always recommend their services to anyone.

If you’re looking for a place celebrate a loved ones life, please trust Kyle and Highlands. I promise you’ll be happy and they’ll feel like an extension of your family at the end of it all.
