I've had to have 2 of my pups cremated in the last 3 years. The staff has been very kind & ​compassionate and got us right in when we arrived with our deceased loved ones. They allowed us to have a private room to say our final goodbyes in which we appreciate greatly. However, today's call from the vet was and is very disturbing. "Her ashes are ready to be picked up". Like what? That's the best you can come up with to say towards a grieving family? As if we aren't going through enough, but to be reminded that all we have left of our sweet pup is ashes? Please be more thoughtful and figure out something else to say instead of kicking someone while they're already down....read full review

1. I took my dog to Shively Animal Clinic they said go home will call you in 6 or 7 hours. I went home waited they called and said bring my dog in. I took my dog there walked inside and said they just called for me to bring my dog here. They told me to go back out to my vehicle and wait so I did. I stepped in my vehicle for another 45 minutes after they called me and told me to bring my dog in. So I went back in and ask the lady where I was at in line she said I was next to be seen. I said another 45 minutes and watched the whole bunch of people go ahead of me. Very knowledgeable doctors and technicians that love every animal that walks in their door as if they are their own. There is a looong wait but that's because people trust them with their animals. I waited 2.5 hours to have my dog seen but it was worth the wait. They have a system that they go by. Not 100% sure of how it works, but I do know they do not do first come first serve. I think it's based on severity of the concern and whether or not you want to wait for one of the Fuchs doctors. I recommend this place and I also recommend getting there first thing in the morning.
