The time he took to explain to me what was happening and ensure my comfort throughout the procedure was much appreciated. He accomplished quite a bit in my appointment and I truly appreciate that. The hygienist who assist him are also very professional and considerate. They truly listened to my wants & needs and successfully provided me with the service that I needed. The office is very clean and well maintained. “So, if you have fear about dental stuff, or have had bad dentist experiences in the past, do yourself a favor and switch to this location immediately.

I've never had a dental team I've loved so much than the ones I see here. Melissa, my Dental Hygienist, is the absolute bee's knees! She's so sweet, gentle, and is just amazing at her job all the way around. She remembers the little things too. She's genuinely the best provider I've ever had at a dentist my whole life, it's always a treat getting to see her. :) My Dentist, Dr. Gast, is wonderful too! I had to get a lot of cavities filled/old fillings redone several years ago when I first came to this location, and he was out of this world phenomenal.

I had some horrifically painful (and shoddy ‐ the wrong color was used to fill my front teeth) fillings done at the Mortensen on Palatka years and years ago. I became so terrified of going to the dentist that I'd be on the verge of a panic attack in the dentist chair. I really don't know what is up with that location, because even the cleanings I got there were performed roughly and painfully. Anyway, I eventually switched to this Mortensen on the Outerloop in 2018/2019 after hearing good things about it. I promise you, the difference is night and day when you have an amazing dental team. Not even once have they hurt me or been rough at the Outerloop location, and they even give lidocaine shots in a way that doesn't hurt somehow. (That one blew my mind!!! These people seriously have magic hands.)

When I first started coming here, I told them about my past experiences and how scared I felt. They were (and still are!) attentive and gentle; and they prioritized making me feel comfortable, at ease, and safe above all. I don't feel any fear or anxiety when I come here. :) I really can't say enough good things about this place, and I'm deeply grateful to have found my way here. I could gush about it forever. I've recommended it to everyone I know and even got my sister to switch over here. She loves it too. If anything ever happens to this location, I might as well just throw in the towel and get some dentures, because I'm not seeing any other dentist, lol.“

“I came here in pain with an infected tooth.. The doctor and assistants all listened to me and immediately took xrays and did an exam. Turns out there was an infection and since it was going to be a little bit until the oral surgeon could see me to remove the tooth, she gave me an antibiotic. I understood that it was only a bandaide and I still needed the surgery. Dr Laffoon explained everything in detail and walked me through the process. When I left, I felt so much better just from my experience alone. The office was so clean and everyone was SO NICE. Dr Laffoon got me back in shortly after for a full exam and I was taken care of SAME DAY. Out of all Drs I've ever seen, this has hands down been the best experience.
