I cannot recommend VWC enough. I drive an hour and a half to get here and it’s worth every second! I struggled with finding a reliable vet when I first moved to KY and after a few undesirable experiences at a previous vet, I decided to take a chance and try out VWC and it was the best decision I could’ve made! My dogs can be quite dramatic and sensitive, but at VWC they literally pull me through the door and behind the desk to see the wonderful front desk ladies who have spoiled them rotten with love and cookies from the very first time we set foot in the building. The best.
VWC is the only place I ever took my greyhound in the ten years I had her. They took incredible care of her, from regular check-ups to emergencies and just about everything in between. Dr. Johnson and Dr. Richardson were always kind, honest, and compassionate, and they were able to find the best options for her within VWC's extensive toolbox (the hyperbaric chamber was especially cool).
Bottom line: I always felt like I had a whole team of smart, kind people who loved my dog as much as I did. You can't ask for more.
If you have a dog in Lexington area this is 100% where you should take them for any procedures or emergencies or any checkups. The vets and technician are so helpful as well as noticeably care for every pet that is in their office. Nothing but good things to say about this place.
