Jennifer is on of the sweetest people I have had the honor of meeting. I started working with her before I even had a wedding dress. I brought her my mom's 1981 wedding dress and asked her what we could do with it for my engagement pictures. I allowed her full creative freedom - this is not my area of expertise after all, and have learned it's best to let the artist do what they need to do. She shortened the dress, and the leftover fabric she made into soft, feminine sleeves. My parents absolutely loved how it turned out. She then offered to alter a bridesmaid dress for me for a friends wedding - she was speedy and it fit perfectly, of course. After I finally purchased a wedding dress, it was almost a full year before I had the pleasure of working with Jen again. I brought her my ballgown with 8 very slippery layers of tulle, extra lace flowers, and a dream that I wanted to add off the shoulder sleeves that wrapped around my back. She hemmed it to absolute perfection, and I again gave her the freedom to add more of the 3D florals where she thought was best - and that was hands down the best decision. All of my pictures feature her expertly placed florals and it just made my gown really pop and added that extra flair I wanted. She then made the most delicate princess sleeves for me that were removable!!! Altogether, it was stunning. She helped me feel like a princess on my wedding day, and there's nothing I could say or give to her that would be enough of a thank you. Jen is a true expert, full of knowledge, and I am so glad I got to work with her and she tolerated all my antics throughout both projects. I am only sad that I won't get to work with her again, unless I am in need of another bridesmaid dress fitting :)
Darling Sew Shop was INCREDIBLE!!!! I bought my dress off the rack as a size 12 and she cut it down to my size ~2 and it looked amazing. Jen takes her time and is an utmost professional, and so kind and sweet with everything. She bustled my dress and it looked phenomenal. Additionally, she even let my family take it to her to steam before the wedding so it was perfect. Her price was also very reasonable, and was 1/2 of what I was quoted it would be in Nashville. Thank you SO much Jen!!!
I cannot brag on Jennifer enough! My dress needed a bustle, hem, and straps adjusted. She did a beautiful job and had my dress ready so quickly. She was easy to contact and I was so comfortable talking with her.
