Such amazing competent and compassionate care! I had 2 veterinary emergencies over Christmas with 2 different dogs. They were the only clinic to get us in and get us in rapidly. The care was such a level of excellence that I am transferring care to this clinic. The level of expertise was beyond impressive, the techs, front desk staff, and vets are unbelieveably kind and informative. Best veterinary care ever!

My husband and I recently moved to Frankfort, KY in 2025. We took our pets to Frankfort Animal Clinic for their services. We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of care our pets have received. We have an older dog with medical issues, and they always make time to see him if I call. They handle our dog well, and I appreciate the call backs I receive by both the staff and the doctors to check on him post appointments. My husband and I both recommend this clinic for quality care for your pets.

Horrible! I was just there today and my kitten has an upper respiratory infection. I got there 10 minutes late and they told me that I had missed my appointment time and that I would need to wait for the next available slot. I only waited for five minutes, so it seems to me that they just wanted to be rude to me because they obviously weren’t busy if I only waited 5 minutes. When I went back into the doctors room, they immediately grabbed my kitten and started putting drops in his eyes without telling me what it was and how much it would cost me. They then proceeded to tell me that he needed three antibiotics and gave me no costs for any of it. I had just gotten this kitty from the Humane Society and they told me that they’d pay for the visit and any antibiotics and when I mentioned this, the doctor got SO mad and threw her hands up in the air and immediately left the room. THE DOCTOR WALKED OUT ON ME DURING THE APPOINTMENT. I left without any medications but still had to pay a $60 visit fee, which is ATROCIOUS and it only took five minutes at their time.

Where to even start?!
To condense a lengthy review into one sentence, they are: exceptionally kind to your pets, affordable, experienced, and willing to go above and beyond.
To begin with, this is a vet where they are gentle and kind to your scared animals. They'll try their best to make friends with your terrified dog, and avoid any procedures that aren't completely necessary to avoid traumatizing them more. The vet tech will see your cat through your eyes, treating them like their own cat and loving on them throughout the appointment.
They also understand money is tight for everyone right now. Even though the vet was busy, she took the time to help us find the cheapest option of expensive medicine our dog needed. In addition, the final bills are definitely fair for the services rendered.
As for being experienced, they pick up on abnormalities in their assessments like a nurse with 30 years of experience. We've brought two animals to them now, a cat and a dog. Each time they've immediately picked up on the problem and came up with treatment options that work quickly. Our itchy dog was feeling better after his first dose of Apoquel, and our cat that wasn't eating perked right back up after her antibiotic shot and steroid dose.
Finally, they go beyond what I expect of vets. I asked one doctor if they knew of an exotic animal vet for our tortoise; and although she didn't, she went out of her way to find out for me. But what really set them apart from anyone I've ever taken my pets to was the fact that they called us the next day after our cat's appointment to see how she was doing. What that tells me is that they're not just in it for the money, but because they think about and care for the animals they treat.
I'll be recommending this clinic to everyone in the area. They're truly the best!

Cropped my boy Diesel’s ears. He definitely knows what he’s doing, I would take into account it’s a one day operation so there will definitely be blood on the way home. This is about two weeks post op. Very shoot with result!

I've been taking my dogs here for 30 years. All of our dogs are/have been cherished family members, and the staff there treat them as such. The reception staff are friendly and welcoming, even to one of my current dogs who is very vocal every time he visits. I completely trust our vet and recommend this practice.
