We adopted our girl Maple from Melissa’s Second Chances as a puppy and she is my soul dog? They were wonderful to work with and the process was smooth and easy. You can tell these are genuine people trying to make a difference. I also dropped off extra dog food when the wrong one was delivered to us and the girl that was in at the time was lovely to talk to. I encourage everyone to support this wonderful rescue!

This shelter is small but does great things for pets in need by rescue and re-homing them. Melissa Second Chances also does alot of fundraising events and events for adoption in the community.
I am grateful to be able to be approved for dog day out, foster, and adopt. I am looking forward to continuing my visits for dogs day out and look into weekend stays also.

Melissa is a god send, we initially adopted our sweet lily from her. When we hit hard times as a family she help us re-home a few of our other animals(Lily was with Melissa for a long time before we adopted her so we felt the others were able to adapt better and be adopted quicker). She has always gone above and beyond to help in anyway she could. This world needs more people like her and her staff.
