The staff is fantastic. Everyone is so nice and understanding of any fears/concerns you may have. The care was quick and painless. By far the best dental experience I have had.

the reception staff at OPFD are very friendly, welcoming, and make an effort to relate to you on a personal level. they are even willing to help you figure out plans and walk you through payment processes. kari was so kind and accommodating towards me, both in scheduling and helping me navigate the world of dental insurance :Pdr. gallagher and his staff were very kind and understanding, too. i have a lot of sensory issues as an autistic person and my anxiety doesn't help so the dentist is very intimidating and scary for me and i didn't seek treatment for a long time because of it. dr. gallagher made the experience a lot more tolerable. i think i freaked him out bc i couldn't stop crying during my top fillings, but he and his hygienist (i think her name is lauren) were comforting and checked in on me and were extremely accommodating and encouraging. despite the condition my teeth were in and despite my own issues with my anxiety, dr. gallagher didn't shame me or make me feel bad during my visit, which is a rare thing i think for dentists.the doctor is very busy but he and his staff took the time to explain the procedures (i got four fillings :P) and even the reception reached out when there was a last-minute opening for me. they worked around my 9-6 work schedule and made sure i was taken care of for future exams and cleanings. i am very glad to have found this place and will recommend it. if you want a judgement-free environment or need accommodations bc the dentist in general is very scary, i recommend dr. gallagher and his staff for whatever you need. they're awesome - thank you!

HORRIBLE CON ARTISTS that make you feel like you cannot say no to a large service they are manipulators and use abuse tactics to get money and patients they will be shut down SICK PEOPLE

I had to change Dentist due to my insurance. I read reviews on Dr. Gallagher and decided to make an appointment. Everything went very smoothly from a telephone enquiry, to making an appointment. I was seen right away and I was very impressed with how I was treated, from the receptionist, dental assistant, Millie and Dr. GALLAGHER. They were all very professional but friendly. I had a crown replaced and the whole experience was seemless. I also had cleaning done and the dental hygienist was very gentle but thorough! I will recommend this dental clinic any time!

BEWARE OF SCAM! Just moved to Overland Park and was looking for a new dentist to see regularly for cleanings. Overland Park Family Dental was convenient so I decided to give them a try. On my first visit they said that they like to see patients every 3 months instead of 6. Normal insurance typically only covers every 6 months for cleanings. This was the first red flag. Second red flag was when they refused to give me a normal cleaning until I paid $1200 for some deep cleaning procedure they wanted to do. The first thing they told me was insurance doesn't typically like to cover this procedure so most likely I will need to pay out of pocket. I got a second opinion at another local dentistry and sure enough there were no issues and my teeth are perfectly healthy! I received my cleaning and saved $1200 bucks from a procedure that didn't even need to be done. Professional scam artists praying off the wealthy and unknowing in Overland Park. Be cautious and weary when doing business with them. If it doesn't seem right don't be afraid to seek out a second opinion.

Dr. Gallagher and his staff were professional, courteous, and very friendly. They made sure I was properly informed before starting my wisdom tooth extraction. Dr. Gallagher was pleasant to deal with, so was his hygienist. This was as pleasant of a dental visit as one can have, and I'm not fond of going to the dentist. haha I very highly recommend Overland Park Family Dental.
