After I had exhausted all my efforts and resources I decided to send my daughter to House of Hope in February 2021. She stayed there for the duration of 8 months. From the minute I arrived at HOH I felt a sense of peace knowing that I had made the right decision. The entire staff are caring, loving and understanding. I was never treated like I was just another parent bringing my daughter there but instead like family. As the father of 2 daughters, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend HOH. The staff is committed to the health and happiness of their students and families. They are capable, experts in their field of helping teen girls with emotional and behavioral challenges.

House of Hope is awesome. I get the blessing and honor to volunteer with the Big Sister program they have created. It is phenomenal! The staff is great, warm, and welcoming. Working with the residents is life changing because they are all resilient, powerful, inspiring, and encouraging. If you are looking for a place to spend some quality time making a difference, House of Hope is it! However, the real difference will be in how the residents teach you to look at the world!

From House of Hope Kansas City

House of Hope (Kansas City) is a Christian-based nonprofit residential therapeutic home for teenage girls ages 12-17 who are struggling emotionally and behaviorally with adoption, trauma or other life disappointments. Our tuition is based on a sliding scale, according to the family's financial ability. Our campus has licensed counselors; an onsite accredited school, Hope Academy, in partnership with the Basehor-Linwood School District. We also provide outpatient counseling for boys, girls, and their families. Throughout our programs, teenage girls learn the tools and attitudes they need to overcome negative influences, and become functioning and contributing members of society.
