Children's Mercy Hospital Kansas provides exceptional care with kind, compassionate, and caring staff. The hospital has great doctors and nurses and very friendly staff. The Orthopaedic Clinic and same-day surgery teams are particularly praised for their wonderful treatment. Patients appreciate the hospital's attention to detail, prompt pain management, and welcoming atmosphere, featuring amenities like bingo, a garden, and a cafeteria. Medical care is well attended, interrogated, and treated. They are very helpful and super nice.
I've been to this ER many times with my kids and foster kids. The doctors and nurses are always wonderful at addressing my children's needs, answering any questions, and making sure that we are comfortable while we wait. During a snowstorm, I recently considered taking my toddler to a closer ER, but when she needed to be admitted overnight, I was so glad that we went here. The nurses took care of my child all night, holding her and rocking her after waking her up during a vitals check. They also made sure that our needs were met as parents, bringing us water and offering snacks and extra blankets. They truly seem to care about patients and their families.
I recently brought my daughter to Children’s Mercy for an ultrasound and wanted to share some feedback on our experience. The ultrasound tech was professional and completed the exam appropriately, but she seemed very unenthusiastic and offered almost no interaction with my daughter. This stood out because our previous experiences at Children’s Mercy have always been so warm, child-focused, and engaging.
My daughter is only two, but she has had multiple ultrasounds, and I had already prepared her for what to expect. Even so, I was surprised that the technologist didn’t talk her through the steps or try to make her more comfortable. While my daughter handled...read full review
Even though we were only there for just a day. We were taken in immediately and didnt have to wait at all. The nurses did so good with our little one and even out of kindness bought him a teddy bear because of how terrible he felt. He still carries it with him today.
