My dear friends are on the way as we speak to attend her father's burial service. Sadly NOTHING is ready. You did not contact the military, so no military honors will be provided; no tent is set up and no chairs set up. The service is an hour away. The pain this has caused their family cannot be taken away.
Gus has been truly incredible though this process. It’s rare to find his level of earnest compassion. Even after services were complete, he helped me with getting my mother’s obituary in the paper on a deadline. I cannot thank him enough.
We have had the misfortune of needing there services several times. Each time they have been consistently kind and have done amazing work. Gus took care of my mother in law a couple years ago. She looked so rested and no pain on her face. There was no doubt that my mother in law was there. Before her, he took care of my nephew. Gus took care of all the arrangement of getting the body released and transported from Texas to Kansas. Most recently lost our 18 year old niece. Again Gus took care of all the paperwork and transportation. His people made our little girl look so beautiful. Again, even after some trauma, she looked exactly and as beautiful as she did in life.
