Midwest Driving School, the oldest driving school in Kansas, has been serving the community since 1974. With a focus on safety and education, they emphasize the motto "Drive, to arrive Alive." The school offers a positive learning environment, with students praising the knowledgeable and patient instructors. Many have appreciated the informative classes and the supportive atmosphere, noting the unique garage vibe of the facility. Students report feeling well-prepared and confident after their lessons. The instructors, including Frank, Bill, and Johnny, are highly valued for their helpfulness and friendliness. The class environment is engaging, often with free pizza provided, although some find the chairs uncomfortable. The school serves a wide area, including cities like Lawrence, Kansas City, Topeka, and Overland Park. Enrolling in this school promises a solid foundation for new drivers and has helped many, including family members, successfully obtain their driving licenses.
Highly recommend. As first-time parents trying to navigate having a new driver in the house and who only knew out of state guidelines. This was a great fit for him! We researched driving schools nearby and selected this one. The high quality of education these instructors have and the knowledge that they provided to such a young mind about driving safety protocol was exceptional. They are professionals and follow the law to pass onto these younger-future-driver generations. From the thorough classroom setting through the hours spent with our son on the road. We believed he would be in great hands and trusted he would be well-educated to drive responsibly one day and be successful at it. A helpful plan, which we appreciated-in much detail is given and required to complete within a certain amount of time to the students benefit which leads the permits and licenses. Learner's, Restricted and Driver's License. Not to mention it was affordable, too. We recommend to friends all of the time! Can't say "Thank You!" enough for your services and providing our son with the safe skills needed to protect himself while driving on the road for the rest of his life!!
