About Hutchinson Regional Medical Center
The Hutchinson Regional Medical Center (HRMC) is a non-profit hospital committed to providing high-quality healthcare to the local community. Accredited by The Joint Commission, HRMC boasts 190 licensed beds and is recognized as the largest employer in the county. HRMC offers a wide range of services, including primary care, pulmonology, mental healthcare, hospice, home care, and cancer services. The hospital's history dates back to 1975, formed through the merger of two former hospitals, making it a pioneering example of its kind in the nation. Patients consistently praise the compassionate care and expertise of the medical staff at HRMC. Many express gratitude for the attentive and thorough treatment received, particularly highlighting the exceptional nursing care on the orthopedic floor. The hospital's bright and welcoming atmosphere, with rooms decorated in a beach vibe, also receives positive feedback. Recent improvements in the emergency room have restored faith in the facility, and patients appreciate the ease of scheduling appointments with their doctors. The medical staff is described as caring, attentive, and knowledgeable, though some patients feel the explanations could be slowed down during consultations.
