If you want to EXPERIENCE the history of historic Fort Scott instead of just spend a few hours in a motel room, this is the place to do it. Clean and comfortable rooms, good price, location in the heart of the old town (just a couple blocks from the fort), and very helpful hosts all in genuine early 1900s ambience.
Courtland Hotel and Day Spa is by far one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at in our lives. The customer service Frank and his wife provide is more than 5 stars!! Frank greeted us by name when we walked in and he was always present when we were coming and going. They are so personable and made sure we were happy and satisfied during our entire stay. The hotel is extremely clean, safe, and so comfortable. The air conditioning worked perfectly, the sheets and pillows smelled nice, and we slept very well!! Every morning there were two pots of delicious hot coffee, muffins, and honey buns in the lobby ready to go even if we slept in that day. We HIGHLY recommend...read full review
