I have been using First Light caregiver services for about a year now. Different caregivers have come and gone but two have stood out for me. Michele, a former caregiver. and Donna, my current regular carer. They know what I need done and I can feel free to rest and get better. I only give 4 stars because it takes a while to find a good fit with a caregiver. They have not all been as kind and caring as Michele and Donna. This kind of job is not for everyone.
Sine my stroke 4 years ago I have had a few caregivers with this company and Brandy mose is by far the best! She’s sweet and caring and compassionate! She makes me feel comfortable and well respected and she helps me keep my dignity even while helping me with the basic activities of daily living that some may take for granted such as dressing and bathing!
I learned about First Light when my husband was very ill 6 years ago. I was so pleased with the care and concern of the caregivers that helped him. So when things became more difficult for me to manage, I called for help. Mary from First Light has been helping me for about 8 months, two days a week for 2 hours She has taken me to
Doctor appointments, the bank, etc. but what I appreciate the most is that she does my grocery shopping. She’s so efficient that she knows what I need better than I do! She’s always pleasant so I really enjoy her company, as well. I highly recommend First Light of Valparaiso!
