Kelly is the most thoughtful and knowledgeable hair technician I've ever had. After several terrible encounters with other stylists, she has been my one and only for the better part of a year. She knows CURLY AND THICK hair! She also takes the initiative to take extra classes to learn more about curly hair. She even advocates for more attention to education on Black, natural hair and understands how the lack of stylists for African American (Black) hair is a detriment to our community. I see Abi at the Voom Room (and someone else previously before they left). I've gone back to visit Abi multiple times now. She's very kind, caring, and a great listener. Before my haircut she always checks in about the length and what I'm looking for, and checks in at the end to make sure I got what I want - she always goes back and cuts more if I need it.
