“Our one-year wedding anniversary was yesterday, which means this review is officially WAY overdue. But even a year later, my husband and I still talk about how incredibly grateful we are that we chose Westley Leon Studios to capture our wedding.
We will be the first to admit that we probably were not the easiest couple to work with. Between our crazy schedules, being disorganized, and genuinely having no idea what we were doing half the time, we needed a lot of guidance. They were so patient with us through every part of the process. They helped us take all of our scattered ideas and somehow turn them into the wedding we had dreamed about, and they never once made us feel like we were behind, difficult, or asking too much.
For me personally, photography was actually one of the things I was most stressed about going into our wedding. I HATE taking pictures. I usually feel awkward in front of a camera, and the thought of spending such a huge part of our wedding day being photographed honestly made me nervous. Looking back, I could not have chosen better people. They made both of us feel so comfortable and natural that I stopped thinking about the camera altogether. Nothing felt overly posed or forced, and somehow they captured us exactly as we are.
One of the things I appreciated most was how much they advocated for us throughout the day. Weddings can get chaotic, and there are so many people pulling you in different directions. They weren’t just there as our photographers; they genuinely looked out for us and made sure we had the space to enjoy our day. Having people in our corner who understood what we wanted and were willing to advocate for us meant more than I can explain.
And then there are the photos themselves. A year later, we can look through them and immediately feel like we are back there again. They captured the big moments, the little moments we didn’t even realize were happening, our family and friends, the emotions, and all of the tiny details that made the day ours. Our wedding lasted one day, but because of Westley Leon Studios, we get to relive it for the rest of our lives.
Looking through our photos on our first anniversary made me appreciate them even more. These aren’t just beautiful wedding pictures anymore. They’re memories of the people we love, the way we looked at each other, how the day felt, and a version of our lives that we will never get back in quite the same way. I know these photos are only going to become more precious to us as the years go by.
If you’re considering Westley Leon Studios for your wedding, I truly cannot recommend them enough. Especially if you’re someone like me who feels awkward or uncomfortable in front of a camera, these are the people you want beside you. You’re not just hiring someone to take pictures. You’re trusting someone with preserving one of the most important days of your life, and I genuinely cannot imagine having trusted anyone else with ours.
