The bald fade was flawless. Smooth transition, no harsh lines, and blended exactly how it should be. You can tell immediately when a barber really knows what they’re doing, and this was one of those cuts where everything just looked clean from every angle.

The beard trim is what really set it apart though. He didn’t just clean it up, he shaped it to fit my face, kept it full where it needed to be, and lined it up sharp without overdoing it. A lot of barbers rush beards, but this was detailed and intentional.

“My son usually goes with his Dad, but he was in dire need of a haircut like, weeks ago. Stopped in and they pretty much got him right in. Cute, simple barbershop that is clearly popular in the area. I know weekends can be super busy with long waits which says how popular they are.

I about 💩 when I (luckily) noticed a sign that said cash only while he was getting started on my son's hair. A quick walk across the parking lot to hit up the neighboring drive thru ATM saved me.

Mike cut and styled my hair after I showed him a picture of what I had in mind. I really didn't have to tell him much--he's clearly a master at what he does!! “I absolutely love it here! I’ve had the same person cut my hair since I was a kid, and then into my early 20s. When she retired, I had three terrible experiences in a row. I mean, bad like when I got home, I grabbed clippers and just shaved it all off. At that point, I just gave up on having hair I could style and settled for high and tight fades.

That was until I started going to Michelle at MK Barbers. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by smiling faces in a space that just feels good. I’ve always felt welcomed there, even when they seem busy and backed up, it’s still a friendly environment.

I started with my high and tight fades for my first few visits, but then let my hair grow for a few months, getting much longer than I had in a long time. My ex-wife and I let our son’s hair grow while he was a baby and a toddler, but when he was about 4, he decided he wanted it cut, and we knew it was time. He tried a new cut the last time we went in, and with just a picture on the phone, she gave him exactly the cut he wanted.
