Tanning in Richmond

“Pros: Friendly owners, conveniently located on Richmond’s west side! I tanned in the highest level bed (Classic Extreme) for about $60 a month (tanning twice a week) at the time. The beds are fairly well maintained and the bulbs are changed often. The lotions are priced very well. Some designer lotions were less than $50 a bottle!

Cons: There isn’t much of a difference in the pricing at this salon vs. a chain tanning salon. I only saved about $10 a month. I noticed the salon was closed on federal holidays, like MLK Day. There are currently no weekend hours. You can currently schedule an appointment on Saturday but if something comes up and you can’t make the appointment, you could be charged a session. These are understandable from a small business perspective but may not be ideal for some customers.

Finally, the customer is responsible for cleaning the bed after each use. I’ve experienced first hand that some customers don’t clean it very well or don’t clean it at all. I personally feel like it’s the responsibility of the business to clean it after each use to ensure the bed is clean and ready for the next customer.“
