About Advantage Home Health Care
Advantage Home Health Care, a healthcare provider, has received a series of negative reviews from a former employee. The reviews paint a picture of poor management, disregard for employee concerns, and an overall toxic work environment. The reviews highlight several issues with the company's operations. Firstly, the management is described as poor, with concerns and issues being "blown off" and a lack of care from the human resources department. There is also mention of favoritism, with employees being called multiple times and spoken to rudely even when they have the right to refuse work. The reviews also criticize the way the staff members treat the field staff, with the former employee stating that they had asked the head nurse multiple times to change the way the staff spoke to them, but no change ever happened. The reviews also mention an incident where a corporate staff member was allowed to speak to the former employee in a "menacing manner" in front of the entire staff, which was deemed unacceptable. Another issue raised in the reviews is the company's lack of empathy and compassion towards its employees. The former employee mentions an incident where they were asked to come in and do paperwork after their house had caught on fire, which they felt was completely unreasonable. The reviews also mention a corporate staff member's callous response to the former employee being involved in a car accident, where the staff member's only concern was finding someone to cover the shift. The reviews also highlight the company's apparent disregard for the well-being of its employees. The former employee mentions having to walk multiple times down the highway to work after dark because no one could come to pick them up, and having to walk in a heavy hail storm because the staff member on the phone "couldn't find anyone" to help. The reviews state that the company's actions "literally drain the life out of you." Overall, the reviews paint a bleak picture of Advantage Home Health Care, with the former employee stating that they would not recommend the company to their worst enemy and that they gave over 15 years to the company with no appreciation.
I DO NOT RECCOMEND Advantage Home Health care!!!!!! poor management, HR didn't care, most all of my concerns were blown off, favoritism you can be off and get called from anywhere between 8-19 times and be spoken to rudely if you say no even though you are told when you hire in that you can say NO anytime!I mean yeah Staffers can speak to field staff however they please, I asked the head nurse multiple times to have them change the way they spoke to me but no change ever happened. I've had paperwork lost down there and when I questioned it a coporate staffer was allowed to speak to me in a menacing manner in front of the entire staff. She had no right to do that whatsoever!!!!. Oh and there was the one staffer who felt it was more important for me to come in and do paperwork after my house caught on fire, uh are you for real I thought. No NO PAPERWORK WILL EVER BE MORE IMPORTANT THEN MY HOME AND FAMILY EVER!!! The company will LITERALLY drain the life out of you...Oh and p.s. I failed to mention about the corporate staffer who didn't care about a wreck I was in one really bad winter, I was shaken up and her words to me were ,"well I guess I have to find someone to come in" You guessed right Sherlock, I mean there was no are you okay, no compassion, I mean how cold and heartless can you be. There is also the head nurse at new castle who questioned me if everything was okay at home when their b.s. down there was stressing me out. I mean things have always been great at home, Advantage was the issue!.. The head nurse once said "hey we've done a lot for you by picking you up when your car was broke down, yeah they did that a lot on nice days but they fail to mention that I had to walk multiple times down the highway to work after dark because no one could come out that late to help out or the time I had to walk in a heavy hail storm because the staffer was like "i just cant find anyone you have to go" which she probably Said from the comfort of a nice warm bed.. I mean I was literally shaking and soaked, one gas station manager on the highway motioned for me to come in for coffee and to get warm, my brother had called the police because I was walking in a bad storm, they did call and check on me, more then advantage did that day, Advantage only wanted to know what time I got there. I was so wet and so cold that I barely even noticed the time.. ( my clients family member after that insisted I take their phone number and told me never ever to walk that far out from where I live in a storm again, he said to give him a call to come and get me next time). but yeah for real where was their valiant efforts in being so helpful then?, oh and the newer nurses they would not even discuss issues with me. I mean Utterly ridiculous, In closing I am a home health provider, not their gopher to pick on or treat or even speak to me in a manner of disrespect EVER!!! Oh and the callousness of them whenever I brought it up it was always 'oh they were having a bad day!' I am going to cite the same words the D.O.N stated to me when I was having cell phones issues, in her mighty words she said 'not my problem!' Well newsflash the staffers having a bad day was never my problem either, I had been told to leave my attitude at the door well the staffers should have been given the memo as well bottomline!. Funny how some health issues I had during my time of employment with advantage got better after I finally wisened up and left, pretty good for someone who was questioned if things were going okay at home lol. oh and if youre sick and need to call in please do make sure you talk to the large and in charge staffers even if you are coughing and can barely talk or if you need it quiet due to a migraine you ensure you make sure the staffers know full6, if you don't the fact that you did not talk to them will go on for the next 6 weeks, just save the headache by making them feel powerful. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. I gave over 15 years to them. No apprec
