Dr Damitz and his staff has been nothing less then Fantastic.. Through office visits, surgeries, and even re-wraps they have been great to be a part of. There may be negative comments about some Drs.s here but I know this Dr. and his staff wont be on that list. Thank you for your service.......MUCH APPRECIATED !!!!!!!!!

Lake Shore Bone & Joint Institute is the worst medical practice I've ever delt with. There's no one that will listen. I have talked to multiple employees at both dr. Levenda's office and at the Portage Urgent Care and they kept interrupting, not even giving me the chance to explain my needs. So while trying to schedule visit with Dr. Levenda, his office assistant (or nurse) insisted I visit their Urgent Care instead and go from there even though my issue did not have any urgency to it. And then when I visited their Crown Point Urgent Care they insisted I get an X-ray even before seeing a doctor. I'd expect a doctor get details of my problem first, perform physical examination and then decide appropriate action as patients should be evaluated by their physician prior to any imaging examination so that the proper body part may be imaged appropriately. But no, they wouldn't let me see the doctor without an X-ray. So I just walked out of their facility. I don't plan on going back ever again. In conclusion, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Stay away if you can. There are plenty of more qualified medical practices out there that will treat you nicely too for what it's worth. God bless!

Avoid Dr. Levenda at all costs. Dr. Pepper and Dr. J are both vastly more competent doctors. Unless you want your injury to get worse, then by all means go to Levenda.

Dr. Damitz and staff are wonderful! He spent a lot of time with us explaining the diagnosis and treatment options. My daughter made a full recovery thanks to him!!!! Highly recommend Dr. Damitz for any foot or ankle issues!

Dirty billing practices.... 30$ hot packs each and every session, false information on cost... Its unbelievavble that this is still possible in this day and age. For people routed there via United Heatlhcare affiliation: you can get serviced for half this cast without insurance with most of the sports medicine advertisers locally. This place is BS.
