Had my first eye appointment at The Vision Care Center. Very impressed. Office is nice, big, and clean. All employees wear a uniform and name tag. Felt like a professional environment. Best of all, the doctor was EXCELLENT! She was thorough, patient with my questions, and made sure I had the information and understanding I needed to make decisions. For example, she showed me, visually, the difference between my old contact lens prescription and my new one. No eye doctor had ever done this for me before, and it made me confident that my new prescription was correct. I have worn glasses for almost 40 years. I finally had Lasik with Dr Tharp and am beyond thrilled. I used to need help finding my glasses. Now I can see clearer than I've ever seen in my life! Dr Tharp and Andrea are very helpful, honest and knowledgeable. So happy with my decision and the results.

I guess it's official - I'm officially old-AF. I have noticed a little trouble reading as of late, so I made an appointment for a first-ever eye exam. Reading off little letters, eye drops, struggling to keep your eyes open through the blinding lights, the whole "which is better - A or B" contraption - it is all something of a blur. All I know is following the battery of exams, the doctor, Dr. Weyer, concluded, I am in need of bi-focals. I just stared at him for a minute while I processed what that meant.
