I was sent here by my family dr on Sept 10th for possible appendicitis. My dr called the er when I was on my way to give them the heads up. Everyone in the er that took care of me was great. There was one arrogant male nurse that came to my door, saw me holding my stomach, he's laughing and says is that your appendix? Do you still have your ovaries? One nurse had to tell him to get out and leave me alone. He acted like I diagnosed myself or that I was just there for meds. After doing a CT scan it showed it was my appendix. They took me to surgery. The surgeon, nurses in surgery and the anesthesiologist were amazing. The anesthesiologist stayed there until I woke up, checked to make sure I was ok and not nauseous before he left. The whole experience was great except for that male nurse. I'd been dealing with this pain and sickness for 3 weeks and to come in and have him speak to me like to and laugh at me. That was uncalled for. I really hope something is said to him about his horrible bedside manners. I'm sure I'm not the first patient he's done that to. You don't want us being rude to the nurses, so the nurses need to be respectful to every patient coming into that hospital.
