IU Health Physicians Primary Care Mooresville

I had my visit with Dr. Luis Vieira Guerrero at Mooresville IU Health Clinic today, and it was amazing. The front desk staff was so welcoming, answering all my questions with smiles. The nurse who took my vitals was super kind, putting me at ease right away.

Dr. Guerrero is incredible. I’ve struggled to find a doctor who truly listens, but he’s different. I shared my women’s health issues, other health concerns, and mental health struggles, and he genuinely cared. He didn’t just nod, he was right there with me, ready to help.

IU Health has lost my business indefinitely.
I’m usually seen up in Brownsburg but have not been happy with the service I’ve received ever since IU took over.

I’m new to Mooresville and was wanting to give IU health another opportunity to be my PCP.

While I’m sure the medical staff at this location are perfectly capable, but the 2 stars represent lack of answering the phone for a new patient appointment. I called several times within a 2 hour window and still wasn’t able to speak with anyone.

I ended going with a PCP that’s not affiliated with a big hospital brand.

Yesterday, I received a voicemail telling me that Dr. Schmitt doesn't want to be my PCP anymore. “She doesn't want to be your PCP anymore,” after I mistook the 11th for the 12th. I had called to reschedule, and it was scheduled for April before this call/VM was left when I was away from my phone. I called to ask what was happening and was told I had missed three appointments in a year. I wondered what the other two were and was told in April last year. I informed them that one appointment was missed due to my being in an intensive behavioral health program. At the time, Dr.Schmitt said she understood.
