About Indiana Martial Arts
Indiana Martial Arts offers karate classes known for their knowledgeable instructors and engaging environment. The facility is described as safe and cool, with a specific focus on the "Little Dragons" program which employs positive reinforcement, fun activities, and teaches respect while addressing big emotions. The school incorporates a prayer into the middle of class, which may be a concern for families who are not Christian. While participation is not mandatory, its placement within the class structure could make some children feel pressured. The program requires a year-long commitment and a significant financial investment, with options for different payment plans. Parents should be aware of the year-long contract and the costs associated with the program, including uniforms and patches. A shorter commitment option might be more appealing to families with young children.
Our son has never found something that he truly enjoys doing until we put him in karate. He has learned new things and they are really great with all the kids! I love how well he's treated there and believe that it's really going to teach him discipline. I want to thank all of the instructors for their hard work!!

I especially loved how the instructors for the little dragons really knew how to engage the little ones. They gave tons of positive reinforcement, made it fun, validated big emotions while emphasizing not taking it out on others, and taught/modeled respect.ONE CONCERN: They have a prayer in the middle of class. It was initially shared that our child was...read full review
