Regional Health Systems - Merrillville Care Center is an outstanding mental health facility. It provides thorough, client-centered care with wonderful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff, doctors, and nurses. The services are described as amazing, passionate, and compassionate. The staff are very kind, welcoming, helpful, and non-judgmental, making clients feel better. The facility offers physical, mental, and addiction health treatments and a pharmacy all in one place. Appointments are easy to schedule, including same-day intake. Patients report receiving fantastic, genuine, and professional help, leading to tremendous improvement. The care is highly recommended.

I’ve seen some of the negative reviews here, and I wanted to share a different perspective. This is difficult work. The staff often meet people on some of the hardest days of their lives, and those situations aren’t always easy.
I’ve personally seen staff deal with some incredibly difficult circumstances, and I’ve been impressed by the patience, kindness, and professionalism they show. Are things always perfect? Of course not. But there are a lot of really good people here who care about what they do and genuinely want to help.
I think that deserves to be said, too.
I was at the Regional Mental Health Office in the beginning of May and had the pleasure to work with Dawn Nowak during my Mental Health Eval. She went above and beyond and got me in within two weeks of my initial sti down there. I just wanna say Thank You very much.
