I don’t even know where to start I hate leaving review. I called them last night asked if they can do a shampoo blow dry and a braid down. They said they said it would be $30 so I made and appointment for today I get they ask for the same thing again they said okay and said it was $105 I should have just walked out but I uber there so I though whatever I need it done they did good with the shampoo and blow dry but when it came done to the braids they tell me they stopped doing that last week mind you I asked for braids when I walked in so I’m was so confused and the pricing makes no sense it was extra for everything even the type of shampoo was an extra $15. They did my trim for free and it’s uneven I’m so upset

I love my experience. 🥰I followed Kimo from another location and least to say Kimo feels like home to me. No disappointment. The best hospitality! ❤️ will be back like always.

I had a canceled appointment and Mena’s accept walk-ins so I decided to go to Mena’s because my graduation is today and needed a quick style. I immediately let the front desk know I need a wash, blow dry, and style. That’s it. I didn’t need any add ons. Front desk and the stylist kept pressuring me to get add ons, hot oil, deep conditioner, cellophane… I told both of them no, how much is just the wash conditioner and style? $65 I said great! I have cash. Once everything was done, the total amount was $105!!! The feeling I had in that moment was disrespect. They didn’t respect nothing I said, I didn’t agree to any add ons. I didn’t need add ons. I had so much to do for graduation I didn’t have the energy to contest the amount, they just lost a customer that’s been coming to both locations since I was a little girl. I felt like Santiago from The Alchemist when they ran off with his money and he cried. $105 and my hair doesn’t look worth $105. I know what I wanted and what I asked for but they decided for me like men tend to do.
