I frequently come to this clean, beautiful community center for my son's basketball practices. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It's free to use the fitness machines and to walk the track.

This is a great facility. I was here for a volleyball tournament so there were hundreds of people with games on a few dozen courts. The facility handled the crowd well and there was plenty of parking. The ceiling of the facility was covered with soft material so there wasn't the intense noise we ecpetience in other facilities. I didn't have a chance to see much of the other facilities but did see the Snack lounge, walking track and locker rooms. I think there was also a workout room and an indoor soccer facility.

Very nice community center for the town of Merrillville. Staff is very friendly when you walk-in. I mainly use the gym and walking track upstairs, but this place can host all types of events from what I hear. It's very clean, I see basketball hoops and volleyball practicing there. They also have a nice soccer field outside and an area to hold parties and conferences. This was a great idea for a town as big as Merrillville. Town residents can come here FREE of charge to use what the center offers. Out of town residents can also come for a very small monthly fee from what I've heard. Would definitely recommend this community center.
