My daughter has learned alot by going there. She says she has been more social and outgoing. Not only is she learning how to defend herself but she is also learning discipline.

My son started here about 2 years ago after moving here to Indiana. Since then his confidence is through the roof. He walks with purpose. He knows he can defend himself and doesn't look for trouble. As a parent I sit outside and the conversations we have after class are always positive and he has great respect for Mr. James and Mr. Ray. As a parent I wish my son would become more involved but he is right where he is supposed to be, Mr. Ray understands that and would never put your child in a situation that would cause more harm than good.

IMA Club was my first choice when my youngest son wanted to go to kickboxing. He did attend karate for a few years. This place is in a different and greater league than the previous karate classes. Very honored that they allow my son to attend.

My son recently joined Indianapolis Martial Arts Club and so far he doesn’t want to miss any class time. With hands on training he is learning a lot and we are very happy with the results thus far.

There’s nothing worse than your child being bullied. That’s what happened with my son and I looked into martial arts and found this place. The relief I have knowing my son can protect and defend himself out weigh the fact he was being bullied now. My son doesn’t like the discipline sometimes but it’s helped him tremendously and we’re thankful for this place and his instructor!

After lots of research my wife and I decided to give this gym a try for our 2 boys 10 and 13. After a few personal sessions with James we decided this is the gym for our boys. It’s been 5 months since making that decision and I still absolutely recommend.

To give a full disclosure, I attended classes several years ago. However, after reading some other reviews, it doesn't seem like their practices have changed. While I attended their fees were $185/month for the yearly membership. I attended 2 months and then my semester class times changed and I couldn't attend.During that time, they made me pay extra for equipment that had to be purchased from them, they charged me for a required private lesson to get any promotion, and they charged me for the promotion itself. To be clear, they will squeeze as much money out of you as possible and will not include those costs in the initial pitch for the service. They also will not let you out of the contractual fee under any circumstance. Keep that in mind when you sign the dotted line after their introductory class. You are spending $2220 when you sign up for the $185/month for 12 months. There are no excuses that they will accept. To give some additional perspective, I am currently attending a different gym where the promotions do not cost any money, they do not require private lessons, I can go to unlimited classes and pay $100/month with no contract. I've been training here for 3 years. The instruction I recieve is better and the coach is considerably more likeable. If you happen to come across this business, please do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Do not sign a contract for martial arts instruction because all that does is give them an excuse to fall short on their obligations the second that you are locked in. Train at a gym with no contract that gives you flexibility and forces the instructors to earn your business with every class.
