Welp, I was yesterday years old when I realized cars in today's world run on watch batteries...A discovery made after my son effectively destroyed his key fob in an act of heroically epic clumsiness. As a result, the car wouldn't start and would set off the alarm when opening the doors...which had the added benefit of causing our neighbor's face to contort in expressions of suspicion while periodically peeking out his window.After entirely too much research and phone calls to the dealer that led to a conclusion that it was going to cost over $300 to get another key made, plus the towing fee to get his car to said dealership. These folks are great. Great prices, very good customer service. I showed up with a lock from my screen door, that I did not have a key for, and they re-pinned it to work with my current key in under an hour for 35 bucks. Honestly, I am not sure how they are able to do it for that price, I know it's a locksmith company, but having the supplies on hand and the experience to do it that quickly honestly warrants charging more.
