“Julie Mennel has been my stylist for 10+ years, and I would follow her to any salon. She has worked at Natural Concepts for probably five or six years. She is an Aveda Institute graduate and she is a color expert. My natural hair color is 95% grey at the crown, transitioning to 99% very dark brown at the nape. We took my color from dark brown to blonde about three years ago, and I had no brass and no damage. In fact, my hair is the longest and healthiest it has ever been. She is great at listening to me if I want to make a change, and if I bring in a photo of a cut or color, she can always do just what I want. On top of how great she is as a stylist, she is also a funny, friendly, lovely person and I always look forward to our appointments. Re: COVID precautions, I always felt comfortable going in for appointments, even when the epidemic was at its worst, because the owner scheduled the stylists so that there was only one stylist in the salon at a time, or maybe two. When I had appointments it was just Julie and me. We always wore masks and I was never concerned.“
