Gateway Immediate Care

3 stars because the nurse and doctor were great but the receptionist, Lissa, was horribly rude. I took my son in about 40 minutes before closing and I apologized for cutting it so close and that if they didn’t have time I could go elsewhere, the place was empty and she just sighed and didn’t respond for a bit. She asked what was wrong and I told her he had been nauseous for a few days and lethargic and when he asked to go to a doctor, I knew he was serious. Arrived at 6:30 (they close at 8) - nobody in the lobby but the receptionist, two cars in the 100+ car parking lot, before I could even ask a question was told “we’re at capacity for the evening there is another at this address”. Nobody answered the phone either after I walked out and called the main number. Feels understaffed and like they are playing it safe turning people away.

My toddler had a step throat swab a few weeks ago and has been mortified to go to the doctor ever since. We had to take her to Gateway today for a new illness and she needed some nasal swabs and she was terrified. They brought her a stuffed animal as a reward for being brave. With it being the new year, her Doctors office was closed today and I was dreading having to find an Urgent Care. So thankful we came here and will continue to come here from now on!
