It was a great experience to tour the Bach factory and see artistry and hard work that goes into developing their trumpets and trombones. It was such a pleasure to meet all the dedicated people working there!

I am happy to be associated with Conn-Selmer as a colleague/member of their Education Division. Conn-Selmer commitment to music education is phenomenal... not only through the exceptional instruments that they produce daily but also through the numerous and valuable resources they provide regarding teaching/learning at the annual Conn-Selmer Institute.

What an incredible factory! Many of the parts are hand-made; it's no surprise that they produce perhaps the best brass instruments in the world. Conn-Selmer, the parent company of Bach, is working with tubist Chuck Daellenbach of Canadian Brass on a new tuba design that I got a peak at while visiting the factory. The staff is extremely passionate and proud of the products they produce, and are super helpful when it come to picking an instrument. I was here with Canadian Brass choosing an entire arsenal of Bach instruments: C trumpet, Bb trumpet, cornet, Eb trumpet, piccolo, and flugel (I chose a Conn flugel). Bach is famous for their beautiful sounding hand-hammered bells. The quality of every instrument I played was consistently high, yet each had unique qualities that made choosing the right one a true joy. I came away with 6 incredible instruments and a handful of great memories hanging out with the great people at the Bach factory of Conn-Selmer!
