Today we had to lay our Gus to sleep one last final time. Our boys have been seeing Dr. Sterrett and her amazing team for roughly 9 years. Most of their lives almost. Today I woke with the decision to be made and when I called they got us in to put his cancer ridden body to rest. My Gus took a turn for the worst so quickly that he was struggling to breathe and walk when he woke. When we arrived, I had to have help to get him in and to the room I'd be saying my last good-bye. They had a comfy pillow and blanket ready for him. The team came in, discussed how the procedure would go and gave me some time until I was ready. Dr. Sterrett started the procedure and walked me step by step as she did it until his last breathe. Once he was gone, they let me cry and hug him until I was ready to leave. This Team is Amazing!! They all have good hearts and they know and understand how all the furbabies that come through their doors are family! I cannot thank them enough for all they did today and I'm forever grateful!
This is the absolute worst vets office I have ever experienced. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! My cat with Thyroid disease was showing signs of distress I called numerous times. I brought my cat in, only to find out, months prior a note was in the file for me to start giving my pet a second medicine. But the clinic failed to follow up with me. I asked for blood work, none was done. I asked for the tech to speak to me after the procedure was completed, noone would, my cat was put under anesthesia. No follow up call the next day. The vet also violates Indiana State law by forcing you to use Wedgewood mail-order pharmacy. This pharmacy shorted his medicine twice and would not fix their mistakes. The vets office said that's out of her conrol?? FYI. The cost was more than double what I'm paying at my new Vet. Same medication. By law, a veterinarian in the state of Indiana must write you a paper prescription if asked. To fill wherever you choose! I went for a second opinion, my cats medicine was wrong. Making him even more sick! If you love your pet....this IS NOT the place for them.
The staff at Delphi Animal Hospital took such good care of my girl. They were patient, kind, and thorough in the care they provided. I’m going to get both my pups set up at their clinic I was so pleased. 🩷🩵
