Went there for open mat. Highly skilled but friendly training partners, will definitely return for another open mat of not some formal sessions.
Recommended to all as it was also kid friendly and family oriented.

I received my black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu before moving to Chesterton. I train regularly with James and can say with confidence that James is both a talented grappler and teacher, as well as a super nice guy. The students are welcoming, too. So glad to have found James and his gym!
James is knowledgeable and attentive to all levels but his ability to keep kids’ attention while training is top notch! Thanks for teaching our Girl Scouts self defense in a fun and engaging way!
