This was my first time trying this location after reading such great reviews, and overall, it’s worth it for the level of knowledge the stylists have.
Upon arrival, Gabriella met me within a minute or two of walking through the door. She greeted me with warmth and kindess, consulting and giving a look over of my hair. Without much help from me (I’m indecisive, but I had photos), she was able to gather an idea of my preferred cut and style and get to work.
My previous highlights were a mix of pure heticness, a correction of a previously more vibrant color, which lead to multiple shades of highlights, causing a unflattering clash. My hair was also on the verge of “no-coming back” unhealthy. After 4 hours (I offer my sincere apologies for my hair taking forever), she was able to transform my hair into something lovely — photos below. Haircut, treatment, partial foil — it was great to feel happy for a few hours.
Now, while I’m leaving five stars for Gabriella, the other stylist (Margarita - salon prof II) was unkind to both of us towards the end, and while I understand her frustration, it still hurt. One never knows what others are going through. I understand my hair takes a while and was quite willing to reschedule part of my service — all that was needed to do was ask me. But remarks about “you can cancel her cut/she doesn’t have to do the hair cut,” “I’m fine, I just had to cancel all my plans,” slamming things in the back area, saying “you could have cancelled and called her” are unnecessary. It was not my stylist’s fault, I scheduled only a mere 35 mins prior to my time slot and knew 3 hours is commonly how long a highlight and haircut takes me. Sadly, some foils did not lift well, and thankfully, Gabriella took the time to correct it, which of course, lead to us being behind.
So overall, the whole experience was just lovely, minus the end, and Gabriella made someone going through a hard time feel great about themselves, and for that, I’m very thankful. I already booked a return appointment, which I promise, I’ve never done elsewhere :)
