Could management please buy headphones for the manicurist who watches her soap operas on her phone with the volume turned all the way up? It makes the entire vibe there trashy.

I love Lonny- her haircuts are amazing. However, I avoid the miserable and grumpy woman who washes the hair, so now I just wash my hair before I come in for a cut.

My 'senior' mother just had an appointment with Bliss. Not only did they pour water down her back while washing her hair (she has physical disabilities and has trouble sitting at the sink) only to later send her out into 5-degree weather with sopping wet shirts (3 layers of shirts!), but they also took a walk-in appointment for a cut and full blow-out in the middle of her appointment which is completely disrespectful of her time (it extended her appointment time to over 3 hours - with a sopping wet shirt). I'm giving it 2 stars because the location is convenient.

I asked for 3 inch trim. Got barely noticeable trim and an angry shampoo woman who put shampoo across my face and water down my back for 80 dollars.

I should have been wary when there weren't prices listed on the website. But before booking, I called to check how much a haircut for my 12-year-old daughter would be. I was told the cost would be $37, with the cost varying slightly depending on the length of her hair.
Imagine my surprise when I was charged $75 - double the price I was quoted! My daughter doesn't have long hair - it's just above her shoulders. She only got a trim and the entire haircut only took 20 minutes.
At no time during check-in was the price increase communicated to me. I'm extremely disappointed. Bliss needs to put prices on its website and booking tool to avoid any miscommunication and price gouging!
Giving 1 extra star because the haircut was fine.

Cynthia Yosef is an excellent colorist and stylist who recently picked up a couple of days working at Bliss. I have generally believed many of the best colorists are in downtown Chicago. Cynthia works normally out of the west loop. I had another colorist in the loop I liked but had to switch to Cynthia about two years ago. Best move I ever made. I get many compliments on my hair.
