Studio North Academy of the Performing Arts (SNAP) is a fully inclusive performing arts school that offers classes for students of all ages, genders, and abilities. SNAP believes arts education teaches important life lessons, including discipline, teamwork, and a love for the arts. The studio provides a wide variety of dance classes such as Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Modern, Contemporary, Musical Theatre, Hip Hop, and Voice. It also has a strong preschool dance program with more classes than nearby studios. Besides regular classes, SNAP hosts summer programs and has a competitive dance team with over 60 dancers each year. SNAP is known for its welcoming and supportive environment. Adult dancers value the high-quality instruction and sense of community. During the COVID-19 pandemic, SNAP adapted by offering online classes, helping dancers stay connected and continue their training. Many students, especially tweens and teens, see SNAP as a second home and cherish the friendships made there. Parents praise the instructors for their dedication and care for students’ well-being. SNAP is highly recommended for dancers of all levels, from beginners to advanced. Recently, adults have enjoyed tap classes, which are affordable and fun. Some find it challenging to remember all the steps, but the routines are repeated every two weeks, making it easier to learn. The classes are a great way to get steps in and stay active, even with busy schedules. Many hope to return regularly and have even bought new tap shoes to keep practicing. The studio continues to be a place where dancers can grow, learn, and feel part of a supportive community.
