I have been on faculty at HDA for 9 years. 3 years in person (at the best institution I’ve ever taught at ) and 6 consecutive summers returning as guest faculty (as my performing contract allows).HDA isn’t just a school, it’s a family. Hinsdale dance Academy is the only place I would send my students (who come to train anywhere near the Chicago area) - Families are the forefront of everything Jennifer (owner/ director) presents and I feel that family atmosphere as soon as I step foot in. I have had children at Hinsdale Dance Academy for the past 9 years. They have flourished as dancers, but more importantly, grown as individuals. This was ALL do the faculty that cares deeply about their students.They make every effort to ensure that they receive the best education imaginable. They also go out of their way to promote kind and healthy friendships. My girls best friends come from their dance days. If you are looking for a kind, nurturing, professional atmosphere- this is the academy for you!!

My two girls have been dancing here since they were two (in Mommy & Me class). I was careful about choosing a studio, as I come from a performance background and I know how cutthroat the dance world can be. I was looking for a few things in particular and have been extremely pleased with HDA. Specifically, I was looking for:1) Choreography and costumes that are age-appropriate. I have a huge problem with the sexualization of young children and I'm happy to say that I have never seen a child at HDA in anything that made me uncomfortable.
