I see Kathy for nails and Shelly for waxing. I struggle with some skin issues and both Kathy and Shelly have helped me tremendously. I can very honestly say that they have provided me with more care and empathy than even my medical teams.

Shelly is an expert esthetician and the only person in the area I trust do my waxings. I feel so comfortable in her care that I recommend her to absolutely anyone any chance I get. When I first started going to Kathy my nails were brittle and painfully cracking due to a medical condition. However, with Kathy's care and expertise I am now thrilled to report my nails have fully regained their strength! She has guided me and advised me perfectly not just on matters of nail health, but also in small other ways about my own life.

If you are having trouble getting your hair to look right and do what you want, look no further than Angela at Ritual Salon. She is a true artist. In every sense of the word. With decades of experience and exceptional creative talent she has managed to bring out the best in my hair. Finding a new hairdresser is daunting. I relocated back to the Midwest during Covid and found myself in the unfortunate predicament of needing a new hairdresser. Ugh. We’ve all been there. Boy, did I get lucky! I get my hair cut, colored and highlighted and Angela listens closely to what I want. My hair is very easy to manage now and I get compliments everywhere. I’m not a person to spend much time on my hair. But I want it to be easy and look good. I don’t want to think about it really. That’s a tall order when looking for a hairdresser. Ritual Salon is a relaxing and super friendly place. It’s easy to make an appointment online. Most importantly is how supportive and fun the Ritual Salon is to visit. It’s an old fashioned salon experience. One my mother would have loved, bless her heart. All the staff are lovely. I look forward to my appointment every time. What a relief! A good hairdresser is hard to find. I have depression and they lift my spirits every time and send me back out into the world with confidence and a sense of belonging. I also have anxiety. Which makes it hard to get anything done and easy to get overwhelmed. It means so much to me to be treated with patience and compassion. It helps me to feel I have a place in this world. I don’t have to worry about my hair on top of everything else. Its the little things that get us through the hard days in life. The moments of human kindness. The words of support.
