Im a 20 year customer of one of the stylists. I also come from a long distance. It takes me an hour to get there because Im loyal.
At my last appointment I was on time as usual . I had to wait over 20 minutes into my appointment because she was working on someone else. There was no explanation for the delay. I had personally called, not text, this person a few days later about my concerns and she said she would try not to let it happen again. A few days later she texted me, not even the courtesy of a call ,to break off our relationship and canceled all my future appointments. If I could rate less than 1 star I would. Not good business practice.
Anthony Marie is a salon that rents out chairs to individual stylists. What this means is that each stylist that works there "owns" their own client-base and then pays a rental fee to the salon. So, it is not a place where you can just walk in for a cut and get set pricing - the appointments are made by individual stylists, and they set their own prices as well. If you do walk in for a cut and someone is available they will do it, but I'd definitely advise to call ahead and set up an appointment. I personally have been getting my hair cut by Brenda, a stylist there, since I was in high school (almost 20 years!!) and she is amazing. Over the years, we have tried just about every cut and color imaginable and I have gotten so many compliments on my hair! You can bring her any photo from a magazine and she can duplicate it to perfection. Currently she only works Saturdays and books up fast, so if you want an appointment with her, you may have to wait. The salon itself is conveniently located and very clean and comfortable. All of the stylists seem very personable and friendly. They have a variety of styling products for sale on site, and usually some free snacks up front while you wait. A very nice salon!
I am not happy with my Service and did not recieve the service I paid for. First right at beginning she tried selling me many different services. Then she told me it may be extra charges for this and that. She highlighted my hair and it turned out awful. It's very uneven and very very light at roots (never had that happen before and I'm 40years old). Then she proceeds to STYLE my hair - first she uses a wrong type of brush to blow dry - and ONLY goes over the top layer with a flat iron. All underneath my top layer was curly and frizzy. When she said she was done I asked her why she didn't flat iron all She REPLYED that is an extra charge....I told her it said STYLE on groupon and she said it would only be a Blow dry.....I have purchased many groupons before and have seen BLOWDRY listed not STYLE so I expected a style and I told her if you had used the right brush it would not of turned out like this!!!! While I was at her Salon she took another client and had one waiting.....when I had questioned why she didn't flat iron rest of my hair she stated she wanted me to get out quicker but really she just wanted to get e other client in chair. I am a very big Groupon buyer, and I would like a refund! I am not happy at all!!!! NEXT DAY I went to a beauty supply place today and they told me that Katie the Owner and person that worked on my hair gave me "ROOT BURN". That she did not highlight right! She would not of been able to fix with Toner she would have to re-dye my hair. And on top of everything my hair still has split ends. And that is after the haircut she gave me! I specifically stated I want all damaged hair cut off!! She did not do what I asked!! I want a full refund! I am very unhappy and also had to purchase supplies to fix the dye job she she messed up!!!
