I can't say enough good things about the wonderful vets, tech, and staff at Sugar Grove Animal Hospital. Dr. Kovalick helped me with one of my senior cats with diabetes (we actually got him into permanent remission) and then an issue with his thyroid. She gave him many more happy days. When it was time to say good-bye to my sweet boy, Dr. Jebens and the whole staff were so compassionate and caring. Dr. Jess Szopinski just performed a delicate ear surgery on another of my senior boys and was able the clear much of the tissue growth that was blocking the ear canal and affecting his hearing. It was minimally invasive and he is like a different cat. Now I can get drops in the ear to keep it free from infections and he can hear again! Your precious pets will be in amazing, caring hands at Sugar Grove Animal Hospital, and they strive to keep their fees very reasonable and affordable.

Yesterday, we had to have our 16yr old, three-legged cat put to sleep. Trio was generally not a very loving cat and he proved himself the entire time with hissing and growling. The staff was great with him. They gave him some wet cat food (a real treat for Trio) along with some chocolate ice cream with whipped cream. He had a great "last meal". Dr. Robbins was wonderful. He was very patient with the hissing and growling. He answered all of our questions and was very compassionate. I highly recommend this clinic and all the vets and techs.

Absolutely love them. We have been seeing them for a long time and they always provide exceptional care for our dogs at a very affordable price. They have gotten us in on short notice and today they got us in immediately for an emergency which prompted this review. They are so kind and very professional, and I can't recommend them enough.

So happy with our experience here. I'd been looking for a new vet since we moved to the area but could not commit since we have been so happy with the vet we have, but they are almost an hour away. I needed one of my dogs to be seen and Sugar Grove was at the top of my list due to their great reviews. Thankfully they had one appointment available so I grabbed it. The hospital is very bright and clean. We were seen right away which I really loved and appreciated. Dr. Kelley was so nice and the whole exam was done in the room which is nice, to be able to see everything. She was very thorough and made sure to review Sophie's medical records before prescribing any medications, especially after I mentioned her history. Going to a new vet, I was a little worried about the price but it was not bad. The exam price was on the high side but not unreasonable and everything else seemed very fair so I was actually pleasantly surprised. I would absolutely bring my pets back here and it's definitely nice to have a great option close to home!

Worst vet clinic I have been to in 70+years of owning dogs, cats, and horses. For starters, the facility is difficult to find. If you miss the access road (Main Street) off Rt 47, you will end up in Yorkville--as I did. Second, while everyone who worked at the clinic was nice, I also expect competence, which the Sugar Grove Animal Hospital professional and non-professional staff are NOT big on. For example, the receptionist who reviewed my collie Magic's paperwork (clearly marked he had a 3-year rabies shot in 2022) told me they could give him another rabies shot that day (?). I said, why would I give him another rabies shot when he's not due for another one for TWO YEARS! Alas it gets worse--We saw Dr. Jebens who for some unknown reason carries around a stethoscope she never uses. YUP. She did a yearly exam on my dog that did NOT include listening to his heart (!) or GI tract. She also didn't check his ears, eyes or teeth. Because all my collies are MDR1 MM, I am very concerned about which drugs veterinarians give my dogs during dentals. (My 2 girls both need dentals.) When I asked Dr. Jebens, she said there were only THREE drugs that are problematic for MDR1 MM dogs. I knew she was WRONG the minute she said it. I went home and checked the WA State Univ website where the MDR1 research was done about 15 years ago and found they posted a list of 15 drugs that are a problem for MDR1 MM dogs. (MDR1 Mutant Mutant dogs, which are usually collies, lack the protein that pumps certain drugs from their brain. That's means they develop a toxic drug build up that causes permanent neurological damage and the dog must be euthanized for no reason other than the STUPID VET gave a wrong drug to the dog!!! Thus, I am understandably concerned.) Even if you subtract the 3 chemo drugs, that still leaves a whopping TWELVE drugs that are problematic!!! Despite the substandard (crappy negligent) veterinary treatment, the price was still a whopping $500+. Never have I paid so much for so little!

Staff is beyond friendly and knowledgeable. I called to schedule an appointment assuming that it would be for sometime during the week, and I was instead told they could fit me in at 4:30 PM the same day. Simple & swift service with an easy way to register your pets. There really isn't any reason to go anywhere else.

Held for 20 minutes for them to tell me that an emergent situation couldn't be seen for a month. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.
