Accepted a bid for some work. Man stood in my house for almost an hour and a half talking about all of his accomplishments. Called me less than 12 hours before they were to be here for the project to cancell as he had sick employees he said. I'd be the first person he'd call. I knew then something didn't feel right and now almost three weeks later I have clarity. He never intended to honor the estimate. Funny he could spend so much time talking about all he's done in the past. Knows how to talk a big game. Fails to follow through with work. I will never call this company for anything again. I can vouch for me friends and family as well. Some of them have their own opinions...read full review
Wouldn't recommend. We hired him to redo our home. He started at the end of November. We were promised a move in date in February. We weren't able to move back in until May and the house still wasn't finished. Our first hint that things weren't going well should have been that he came in with only two other people and he was rarely at our home with them. Several delays caused our home to take longer than expected but most seemed to be due to lack of employees or help. My husband had to take a day off to help install a beam. By early April he finally had our new electric and HVAC ran but didn't have walls up. The most experienced employee of his two man team quit. After that we found out that the other guy he had working on our home hadn't even had any other training. After that he brought in a bunch a guys that were supposedly "rehabilitated convicts" that he was helping. During the last month of our house being finished we found out that they were actually just friends of the kid who has no experience. There was actually an altercation in which one "employee" claimed another "employee" had a gun in our unfinished home and the cops had to come in and search our property. Those employees were fired and more new employees came in. When we finally moved in he still had to finish painting, installing trim, and put insulation in our ceiling. Two lights were installed that were broken and not replaced. Several doors were not painted as agreed and a closet and laundry room wasn't not finished. My husband actually had to help install cabinets and appliances. He actually tried to charge us for those too until we told him we wouldn't pay since we helped with the labor. We had new plumbing installed and water lines moved for laundry. Water was backing up into our new master bathroom shower when we did laundry. We paid a plumber $500 to come out and look at every line. They found that the main line had concrete, nails, and other construction waste in the pipe. For six months we were told several times by him that he was dissolving his corporation and working under someone else whose attorneys were trying to "see if he was responsible" for the plumbing damage. We finally contacted his insurance. They covered the cost of a different company coming in and fixing the plumbing. It was a $5000 repair. This also included the price to have someone else come in and reinstall cabinets because Graf claimed he wouldn't have time to reinstall them. He tried to tell us the insurance company wasn't going to cover anything after this because he dissolved his business so we would have to call him for repairs. We had a different person come in and do our siding. The dry wall was so weak that them nailing the siding on the outside actually broke our dry wall on the inside. The other company said they had never seen this before but luckily came in and fixed it for us. We had old asbestos siding on the home. When they put in our new windows they didn't discard the asbestos properly and was actually found in our yard by the new company. After this we had an issue with our exhaust vents in our bathrooms not having ventilation that left the house. At first, he refused to give us pictures showing them being installed. When he finally sent us a picture it wasn't our house. The insurance told us that we weren't covered because they don't cover for the quality of the work done and we didn't have damage from moisture from the exhaust fan yet. It cost $500+ for this to be done correctly. After this happened, he told my husband he was going to sue him for slander because he claimed he was losing business because of him. We've been in our home for 18 months. We have had to redo trim that wasn't installed correctly or caulked. We've had to redo drywall that had cracking do to not being mudded properly. This was my personal experience and I would not recommend.
