“A very nice gift shop that made us want to come back and visit the house.
We were in town visiting the various Lincoln sites and almost missed this treasure. It is a house on the South end of the city. In fact, the Dana-Thomas House is a beautiful Frank Lloyd Wright-designed home in Springfield. It was built in the early 1900s, and is supposed to be one of the best-preserved Prairie-style houses in the country, filled with stunning original art glass windows, custom furniture, and thoughtful details throughout. That may be one of the gems but we got there too late to take the tour of the house so we missed it. The other diamond in the rough is their gift shop across the street. I had a wonderful time in there. It is a two room affair with lots of Frank Lloyd Wright(FLW) inspired gifts from coasters to books. The volunteer behind the counter was friendly and wonderful. It made me want to come back to Illinois and Springfield just to visit the house for the tour in the future. If you are a fan of FLW architecture, and art, this is a good place for you and I would recommend you plan your visit to Springfield for both the house and the gift shop“

“Our home was built in 1881. Rick has the knowledge and experience to work through all of the challenges an older home has. We asked him to convert a small bedroom to a new bathroom and change the existing bathroom to a laundry room. Rick has the level of skill to do that to an old home. We are absolutely in love with what he has created! He is an outstanding craftsman. He saved the original subway tile and was able to see our vision and create a new bathroom with a mix of new and old Victorian style to fit our home. He's the only one we will ever call for future projects!“
