We have been using Elgin Sheet Metal for almost 40 years. Over the years they have built up with us a reputation of quality work at reasonable prices. They are our go-to place for all our heating and air conditioning needs. Two years ago we had an emergency situation and they provided service above and beyond what we ever could have asked for. Their technicians are trained with up to date knowledge and give you confidence in their assessment of the situation at hand. No one likes to have to call for service or replacement of big ticket items like furnaces, air conditioning units or hot water heaters. I have been working with Elgin Sheet Metal since 1981 for my business and personal HVAC repairs and replacements. I have always found them to be prompt, fair, trustworthy and competent to handle both residential and commercial repairs and replacements. My business life has caused me to oversee the installation of commercial HVAC equipment for restaurants, grocery stores, and other retail establishments. I have also had to replace the heating/cooling equipment in my home. I had a complete new HVAC system installed my Elgin Sheet Metal. This included the complete furnace, AC unit, and whole house humidifier. I chose this company because they use Carrier products (lots of research led me to Carrier) and the techs are factory trained and union. I felt they would be able to do a quick, clean installation which it was. The system has been running for 9 months with no problems. I only gave 4 stars because my existing Nest thermostat was fried after the initial install, however they had a service tech onsite the next day.
